1. Visitors to our websites
When someone visits MusicSolo.co.uk we collect standard internet log information and anonymous details of visitor browsing patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.
We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting either of our websites (MusicSolo.co.uk).
We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. At present, we only collect personal information when you choose to purchase from MusicSolo.co.uk or want to be notified of arriving products.
2. Use of cookies by MusicSolo.co.uk
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
As of the 25 May 2012, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2009/136/EC (the Regulations) cover the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing information, and accessing information stored, on a user’s internet browsers via their their computer or mobile.
The Regulations require that we must provide clear information about the cookies and obtain consent from users when the needs do not meet the EC Directive exceptions criteria. To ease the understanding of this policy, GUITARGUITAR only use cookies which meet the exception criteria and that are ‘strictly necessary’ for the website to performance effeciently and function correctly (e.g. to identify your shopping basket). Rather than cause confusion, Cookies (and services) which did not meet the EC Directive exceptions were removed from MusicSolo.co.uk during a cookie audit between 14th and 23rd May 2012.

‘Strictly Necessary’ cookies let you move around the website and use essential features like secure areas and shopping baskets. These cookies don’t gather any information about you that could be used for marketing or remembering where you’ve been on the internet.
‘Performance’ cookies collect information about how you use our website e.g. which pages you visit, speed up the loading of pages, and if you experience any errors. These cookies don’t collect any information that could identify you – all the information collected is anonymous and is only used to help us improve how our website works

3. Interest based marketing

We currently embed a social like button into some of our pages using Facebook’s social plugin. This plugin does not set any cookies when viewed on our website. 5. How to stop ALL cookies
